Late start letter  (FYI - East commons will be open for students during this time)

Hello Patriot Community,

I hope you are all enjoying the relaxing/busy times of summer with your families.  For those of you have passed by East or walked through the building, it’s very difficult not to recognize the multiple projects that are occurring.  East’s third floor classrooms are experiencing a remodel while the Tech Ed wing is welcoming a new addition.  The city is also well underway on the storm project within the John St. parking lot.  We greatly appreciate your patience and flexibility during this massive undertaking.

In addition to the physical renovation of the building, East will also be welcoming google chromebooks for all students and a consistent daily schedule.  Specific information about these topics and others are included in this newsletter.  Please take some time prior to August to look at and review all the information included in the most recent       East Update.

Throughout the years, I continue to be so impressed by the level of commitment exhibited by parents, guardians, and community members.  It is because of you that Appleton East High School is a wonderful place for students!  I encourage all of you to get involved with as much of the East experience as you can.  The beauty of East's culture is that it provides an array of opportunities for everyone.  We always welcome extra hands and ideas.  With your continued assistance, presence, and support, the 2014-15 school year will be a huge success.

East anxiously awaits the new look for the 2014-15 school year. Please “like” us on Facebook and “follow us” on Twitter @AppletonEast.  Both platforms provide frequent updates on pertinent information about East. If you have any questions please feel to contact us at any time.

Best wishes for you and your families for the rest of summer.

Sincerely, Matt Mineau, Principal

Concessions Volunteers

Click here to volunteer for East Concessions. Mandatory commitment for parents of all athletes of at least 1 spot (should equal approximately 4 hours), per sport, each child participates in.

Home Field Advantage - Click here to learn more about Appleton East's efforts to get a turf athletic complex.  A Synthetic turf field allows more hours of use – an increase to over 2,000 hours versus 100 hours currently available! Grass turf (and Mother Nature) reduces opportunities for usage.  No longer will soccer practice be cancelled because the grass is too soggy or the marching band unable to use the field because it's too muddy.
