please contact the AASD Attendance Office at 832-6116 for open enrollment

also available in any public school district attendance office. Open enrollment
forms are usually available near the end of January for the upcoming school
year. The Transportation and Attendance Office can tell you when the window
of dates (usually 3 weeks in either January or February) in which they
will accept applications. It is always
an option for your child to return to your home school district at any
time. Additional information on inter-district open enrollment can be
found on the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website:
http://dpi.wi.gov/sms/psctoc.html If you live outside of the Appleton Area School District and miss the Open Enrollment window, you may not apply to the Fox River Academy (or any other public school) until the following year (following the guidelines and procedures of open enrollment). If you are interested in the Fox River Academy for your child, but transportation is of concern, there may be some solutions to this challenge. First, the Appleton YMCA operates an after school child care program at the Fox River Academy Elementary site from 3:20-6:00 p.m. daily. They provide a structured learning environment as staff help tutor students and provide a variety of activities and games. The Appleton Boys and Girls Club also provides transportation to and child care at its downtown club. Finally, transportation may be available on current bus routes for a reasonable cost through AASD. Information on this can be obtained through the district transportation office at 832-6116.
