Franklin Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)

The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is the largest and oldest organization working on behalf of children in the country. It is the most important link between parents, teachers, and students at Franklin School and nationwide.

2011-2012 PTO Officers

Co-Presidents

Sarah Sippel, Melissa Ptacek, and Glenn Brown

Secretary Christine Checkalski
Treasurer Tammy Mehlberg

Volunteer Coordinator-Jen Hager

PTO Mission

To support and speak on behalf of children and youth in the

schools, in the community, and before governmental agencies and organizations that make decisions affecting children.

To assist parents in developing the skills they need

to raise and protect their children.

To encourage parent and public involvement

in the public schools of this nation.

Even if you can’t become involved in a PTO committee or attend PTO meetings, your membership strengthens our organization and enables us to do more to benefit Franklin children. The PTO membership fee is only $5 per family, but because the money donated goes directly to support our children and school, additional donations are greatly appreciated!

If you have any questions or concerns about the PTO or its activities, contact any PTO officer or chairperson.
