Adding a printer
Adding a printer [Printer Friendly Version]
To add a printer located within the building where you are currently logged on, click on the Start - AASD Programs - Install Printers - ADD Printer-Building.
You will see a web page with a list of printers for the building.
Locate the printer you want to install, and click the link in the first column.
Click OK after the printer installation is complete.

Setting your default printer

This procedure will set your default printer. Your default computer stays only on the computer you set it at. So if you move to a different computer you will have to re-setup your default printer on the new computer.
Click on Start - Printer
Right click on the printer you want to make default and select Set as Default Printer
You can tell which printer is the default because it will have a check mark by it.

To add a printer located at a different building than where you are currently logged on, click on the Start - AASD Programs - Install Printers - ADD Printer-All Locations.
You will see a web page with a list of printers in the district.
Locate the printer you want to install, and click the link in the first column.
Click OK after the printer installation is complete.
Deleting network printers

Click on Start - Settings - Printers and Faxes
Click on the printer you want to delete and select "Delete this printer" from the left pane
Click Yes on the screen that pops up to confirm the deletion.
Set Hold Print as default

At times you may wish to have "Hold Print" set at your default. The following steps will illustrate how to do so.
Click on Start, Settings, Printers and Faxes
Right click on the printer you want, choose Properties
Under the General Tab, click on Printing Preferences
Under Job Type:, click on Stored Print, then click on Details
Enter your password, click OK, then click Apply, OK
