Welcome to Jefferson Elementary School's Web Page! Jefferson is located next door to Appleton's scenic Pierce Park and continues to exhibit tremendous pride in its long standing history of excellence, community and rich cultural diversity since 1949. Jefferson is one of the seven elementary schools in Appleton to be a part of the SAGE (Student Achievement Guarantee in Education) program. SAGE enables us to have smaller class sizes (15:1) in grades K-3 helping all children to be more successful; however, small class sizes by themselves are not enough to help all children be successful. Jefferson's incredibly dedicated staff is committed to reflecting on how to enable each student to reach their true academic, emotional, physical and social potential while inspiring them to discover their inner passion to learn. Our school, like all Appleton Area School District schools, is engaged in a Continuous School Improvement Process (CSIP) to ensure high-quality educational programming for each student. As part of our CSIP, we reviewed and analyzed reading and mathematics data collected via the Federally required No Child Left Behind legislation.
