Welcome to Jefferson Elementary School's Web Page! Jefferson is located next door to Appleton's scenic Pierce Park and continues to exhibit tremendous pride in its long standing history of excellence, community and rich cultural diversity since 1949.

Jefferson is one of the seven elementary schools in Appleton to be a part of the SAGE (Student Achievement Guarantee in Education) program. SAGE enables us to have smaller class sizes (15:1) in grades K-3 helping all children to be more successful; however, small class sizes by themselves are not enough to help all children be successful. Jefferson's incredibly dedicated staff is committed to reflecting on how to enable each student to reach their true academic, emotional, physical and social potential while inspiring them to discover their inner passion to learn. The Appleton Area School District's Birth – Five Outreach Program offers valuable links to school and community supports, which impact our community's most valuable resource: Our Children!

Kindergarten Registration
The Appleton Area School District held Kindergarten registration in February. If you were unable to attend, please contact your home school as soon as possible to make arrangements to pick up a packet! To confirm which school your child should attend, please call Jen at 920-832-6116.

3-5 Year Old Developmental Screening
The Appleton Area School District encourages all children to come to one of the 3-5 year old developmental screening days to participate in a Developmental Screening prior to entering Kindergarten.

Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Exposure Notice - May
An additional lab confirmed case of pertussis has been identified at Jefferson Elementary / Fox River Academy School. Please continue to monitor your child for symptoms. Please read the notice letter below. If your child develops any symptoms suggestive of pertussis, please immediately contact your physician for evaluation and bring this letter with you to the appointment.
Any questions you may have about this notice can be directed to the Appleton Health Department at 832-6429.

Elementary Communication Arts Adoption Committee Instructional Material Recommendations – Input Form
As part of the adoption process, AASD staff members, students, parents, and residents are provided with the opportunity to examine and contribute feedback on the recommended instructional materials. The feedback collected will be taken into consideration by the committee to determine the instructional materials that will be recommended to the AASD Board of Education. Completed input forms must be submitted by 4 PM on Tuesday, May 29.
