A Note From The Principal:


I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of you back for the 2011-2012 school year. I am very excited for my third year at Lincoln Elementary. I am looking forward to building off of our accomplishments from last year and to another great school year.

We will continue to recognize students who are making positive choices and following the established expectations with weekly and monthly incentives.

We are a proud school community with outstanding students, families, staff, and volunteers. When you walk in the front doors of Lincoln you feel the warm, caring and supportive atmosphere that makes us the Lincoln Lions.

Lincoln Elementary School Community's mission is to provide a quality education for all students in an atmosphere that is conducive to teaching and learning.

 

Summer School:


2012 Summer School Information is available now!
SunClasses for elementary and middle school students will being on Monday, June 18, 2012, and continue through Friday, July 20, with no school during the week of July 2-July 6. Classes meet Monday through Friday of each week for a total of 20 days. Remedial, English Language Learner, and enrichment classes will be offered. Lincoln/YMCA Summer Program
The Lincoln/YMCA will be running a summer program during the weeks summer school is in session. The program will run from 11:30AM-5:30PM Monday through Friday. Lunch will be provided by Aramark and the afternoon snack will be provided by the YMCA.

On Mondays and Wednesdays students will be bussed to the Appleton YMCA to swim and on Tuesdays we will be going on half days fieldtrips.

Children looking to participate in the Lincoln/YMCA Summer Program need to be enrolled at least in the 10:30-11:30 summer school session.

The cost of the program is $5.00 a day per child regardless of financial status.

Birth - Five Program:


The Appleton Area School District's Birth – Five Outreach Program offers valuable links to school and community supports, which impact our community's most valuable resource: Our Children!

 

Kindergarten Registration
The Appleton Area School District held Kindergarten registration in February. If you were unable to attend, please contact your home school as soon as possible to make arrangements to pick up a packet! To confirm which school your child should attend, please call Jen at 920-832-6116.

 

3-5 Year Old Developmental Screening
The Appleton Area School District encourages all children to come to one of the 3-5 year old developmental screening days to participate in a Developmental Screening prior to entering Kindergarten.

Elementary Communication Arts Adoption Committee Instructional Material Recommendations – Input Form
As part of the adoption process, AASD staff members, students, parents, and residents are provided with the opportunity to examine and contribute feedback on the recommended instructional materials. The feedback collected will be taken into consideration by the committee to determine the instructional materials that will be recommended to the AASD Board of Education. Completed input forms must be submitted by 4 PM on Tuesday, May 29.
