Mission Statement
Because proficiency in communication is the tool for all
learning in an ever-changing world, the purpose of the
communication arts curriculum is to provide comprehensive,
sequential instruction and practice in the strands of
reading/literature, writing, listening, speaking, language and
research for students of all ability levels. Furthermore, the
curriculum promotes an appreciation for literature and other
fine arts and a critical awareness of mass media.
