East High School teacher named recipient of award presented by the Wisconsin Association of Colleges for Teacher Education
Appleton East High School teacher Corey Otis is the recipient of an award presented by the Wisconsin Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.
Otis, an English language arts teacher, won WACTE’s Pre-Service Educator Mentor Award. He was selected by faculty of Lawrence’s teacher education program. Each Wisconsin college or university that belongs to WACTE was invited to select a recipient for each award.
The Mentor Award recognizes an outstanding educator who has demonstrated a sustained pattern of mentoring pre-service educators for at least five years.
Otis, who has taught at East High School for 17 years, has been instrumental in shepherding nearly a dozen student teachers from Lawrence into the profession.
Congratulations Mr. Otis!
