The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center held their 2017 Chairman’s Gala at the end of May. John and Sally Mielke were the recipients of the 2016 Distinguished Service Award. John has been an active supporter of the AASD for 26 years as an outstanding Board member. He, his family and his family's foundation support fine arts, early learning, and education.

For the past ten years, the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center has honored contributors to its mission through the Distinguished Service Award. This award is presented to members or organizations of this community who have persistently served the cause of furthering the Center’s mission in outstanding and meaningful ways.

Honorees have shown dedication through continued leadership, advocacy for the Center and financial support by raising the bar of excellence to new heights to ensure the Center continues to deliver programs that inspire and build communities.

John and Sally have been a part of the Center since the inception and creation of the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center. The Mielkes are also a key sponsor of the Broadway League’s Family First Nights® program, which will celebrate its tenth year partnering with the Boys and Girls Club to provide families in need the opportunity to enjoy live theater and engaging activities together in the 2017-18 Season.

Their dedication to the Center’s mission has helped us to create programs and initiatives that have engaged and inspired so many.
