District Calendars Revised to Recognize MLK Day

Vocational Support Services connects North student to work experiences

After a couple of setbacks, Dani, who is in a wheelchair and uses a computer to communicate, met with Vocational Support Services, a program of Goodwill NCW, to find a work experience. VSS set out to find a placement in the community that would make Dani feel proud and empowered. They found it at Orthopedic & Sports Institute of the Fox Valley in Appleton.

Tough Kid Course Challenges over 950 Kids

The kids had one goal in mind. That goal was to achieve the title of one of the Fox Valley’s Tough Kids by completing the Fox Valley’s Tough Kid Challenge. The challenge was a 2 mile course complete with 27 physical obstacles which stood between them and that coveted title.

Five Schools Recognized for AP Access, Performance

Appleton North and Tesla Charter School were recognized as Level 2 Advanced Placement Pacesetter schools for impressive student AP access and excellence in AP exam scores in the State of Wisconsin during the 2015-16 school year. Appleton East High School, Appleton Career Academy and Appleton West were recognized as Level 3 Advanced Placement Pacesetter Schools.
