Franklin School, 2212 N. Jarchow St., Appleton, WI is honoring Veterans at a special ceremony on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 9:00 AM

We are inviting all Veterans to join us for a ceremony in their honor. There will be speakers, patriotic music, a student presentation, an introduction of all Veterans, and a reception following the assembly.

Most of all, this ceremony will give our Franklin community the opportunity to personally thank the Veterans for their contribution in keeping the United States free and safe.

As part of our school safety, be advised that all school visitors will be asked to sign in and wear a name tag, so please allow extra time to complete the check in process. Veterans are encouraged to wear patriotic clothing, uniforms, or military hats.

Refreshments will be served in the Multipurpose Room for all Veterans and their family members immediately following the program.

Richmond will hold a Veteran’s Day Assembly on Monday, November 14 at 2:15.  It will last about 30 minutes. The public is invited.

Einstein Middle School 324 E. Florida Ave. Appleton, WI 54911 is honoring Veterans at a special ceremony on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

The staff and students at Einstein Middle School invite you to join us on November 11, 2016, as we honor our country's veterans. We have planned a number of activities to remind us of the service of so many veterans. This year's tribute entitled, Symbols of Service, will focus on the many different service medals a veteran may have received.

In continuing a tradition of honoring our country's veterans, an assembly will be held on Friday, November 11, 2016 from 8:30-9:45 a.m. in our gym. Preceding the program will be a breakfast in the multipurpose room from 8:00-8:30 a.m.

An additional component to this project is the Veteran Knowledge-a-than, an event to raise student awareness of veterans and to raise funds to send a veteran on an Honor Flight to visit the War Memorials in Washington, D.C. Students will collect pledges for correctly answering questions related to military service and will participate in the Veteran Quiz Bowl scheduled for late October.

We invite you to join the Einstein staff and student body in these activities as we honor all of those who have served our country.

Appleton North High School 5000 North Ballard Road, Appleton, WI 54913 is honoring Veterans at a special ceremony on Friday, November 11, 2016 at 1:15 p.m.

The staff and students at Appleton North High School invite you to join us on Veterans Day, November 11, 2016, as we honor our nation’s veterans in a special assembly being held in our auditorium at 1:15 p.m.

We are excited to share the collaborative efforts of many at North including our Fine Arts department, as students from our choral, orchestra, and band will perform.  This will be interspersed with several moving pieces entitled, “A Soldier’s Reflections” as shared by members of our Theatre department and other special guests in attendance.

Student art work will be prominently displayed in our hallways during the week of November 7-11, and a special “Thank You Veterans!” reception will immediately follow the assembly in our Large Group Instruction Room #1306. This is being catered and served by our students. Other student leaders will be available to greet and guide before and after the assembly. We’re very proud of those who are involved in this year’s tribute and I know they are excited to honor all veterans in the Lightning Community.

We’re proud to continue our school’s ongoing efforts to recognize our alumni who have either served in our nation’s armed forces in years past, or are actively serving today.  Several years ago in conjunction with Veterans Day, a special display case area was dedicated to those North High School students who have entered military service.

We encourage all veterans who have graduated from North to register their information and be a part of our ongoing tribute.  A veteran alumni registry table will be set up in Room #1306 after the assembly to assist in this important process.

Finally, special seating is reserved in the auditorium for veterans and members of their family. We ask all visitors to begin arriving as close to 12:45 p.m. as possible, so that we may accommodate all of our special guests. We’re excited to honor all of our nation’s veterans and we hope you will help spread the word and consider joining us!
