Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Bring Your Own Device, or BYOD, invites students to bring in personal electronic devices such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones for educational use. Using the district-wide wireless network, students are able to connect their own devices to access a variety of educationally appropriate electronic resources.

The purpose of BYOD is to allow students to use technologies that they are familiar with while making it easier to access technologies provided by the district. This access will bring the vast resources available on the Internet to the students’ fingertips.

Forms

To participate in BYOD, AASD students must have a signed permission form from their parent(s)/guardian(s) on file for use during the school day.
