Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As the new Principal of Einstein Middle School, it has been my sincere pleasure to become a member of this great school community. Einstein Middle School has a long and impressive history that is the result of a collegial partnership between the school staff and parents who provide a diversity of experiences for the students. Before applying for the principal position I spoke to many teachers, parents and students who were associated with Einstein in the past and I have indeed found this close working relationship and focus upon what is best for children to exist. I am truly honored to be in this position and look forward to working with the dedicated staff to provide the best possible educational program for our students.

Before coming to Einstein, I was the Associate Principal of Student Services at Appleton North High School and Principal of the Appleton Career Academy, a charter school inside of North High School that focuses on 21st century skill development through seminars and workshops enhanced by business partners within the Fox Valley. Prior to that, I was the Education Director at Waterwood School, a K-12 locked facility that educates students with severe disabilities and drug addiction, located on the grounds of Winnebago Mental Health Institute in Oshkosh. Before that, I was a high school teacher at Waterwood School and an elementary special education teacher at Janet Berry in Appleton.

There is no doubt that we have a great school; however, there is always room for improvement.  Einstein Middle School understands that its work is never done and that providing the best for our students requires hard work and a consistent review of how we are progressing.  Part of that process includes getting feedback from parents and stakeholders.  Please know that my staff and I want to have an open line of communication with you so that we can work together to ensure student success. Our relationship with you is critical; we want you to be involved in the education of your child and the advancement of this school.

My greatest initiative is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a school environment to provide differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each student to the best of our ability. The educational program must be academically challenging, engage each student by linking the curriculum to previous knowledge and experience, and also be exciting to promote further exploration of new ideas. Parents, teachers, support staff, and administration all have an important role to encourage our children to become active learners. It is my sincere desire to provide expanded opportunities for our students to acquire the skills to become productive citizens in a vastly changing society.

With a close and collegial partnership with everyone associated with Einstein Middle School, I am confident we can make our school an even better place for our students to learn and grow.

Respectfully,

David B. Mueller, Principal

Former Studentsí Comments

There are two things I like about Einstein.  All the teachers take time to make all the kids understand what they taught.  The second is how the whole school is well behaved.  Whenever we go on field trips or something, we get compliments on how well behaved we were. The best thing about Einstein is the people.  Everyone is friendly and itís just a great environment to be in!
Annie

For me, our school is a home away from home where everybody is compassionate, understanding, and trying to mould us to be a good U.S. citizen.
Anaita

The thing I love the most about Einstein is the atmosphere of the school.  Everyone is given the opportunity to be equal to one another.  All of my teachers are great!  Itís a great place to be during the day.
Lucas

The best things about Einstein are the friendly faces of the teachers and staff, and the friendships I had here that I will remember forever.
Laura

Einstein is a great school!  The teachers and staff make it safe and fun to learn.  Not only is it fun to learn but we have exciting pep assemblies, spirit days, and dances.
Andrea

When Einstein Middle School is mentioned, you should think extravagant, fantastic, and extraordinary.  Einstein is full of great teachers and wonderful involvement.  The teachers are excellent in what they teach.  They not only teach learning lessons, but also life lessons.  We learn something new everyday.  The cafeteria food is excellent, too.  Overall, it is the perfect, ideal middle school for a child to grow up in.
Dayna

Einstein Middle School letís us see that each person is their own creation, the creator of their own thinking and believing.

Albert Einstein Middle School is an excellent school because it has a friendly learning environment.  Our school has helpful teachers and many clubs and teams to join. Larissa

This is my first year at Einstein.  I came in as an 8th grader and it was the easiest move to a new school that Iíve ever had.  I think this is because the school has a very welcoming atmosphere and the teachers here have been so encouraging and interested in making this a successful year for me.
Madison

The thing I like best about Einstein is that there is always something to look forward to.  Whether itís dances, pep rallies, food sales, sports, school clubs, or just being with your friends.  Einstein goes the extra mile to make school a fun place to be.
McKenzie

Albert Einstein Middle School is a wonderful place to go to school.  The teachers are great and there are so many different sports and clubs to join.  Also, all of the students here are so nice.  These things are really what make learning fun!
