FINE ARTS (Music)
Each student is required to participate in a Fine Arts class. There are four options to select from. The performing classes are band, orchestra and chorus.
BAND - Students selecting band will meet with the band teacher in the spring of the year to try a variety of instruments and select an instrument. Band is a performing group requiring students to perform in public at school concerts during the year. Students are expected to practice on their own out of school.
ORCHESTRA - Students selecting orchestra have had experience in elementary school or have special permission of the middle school orchestra teacher. Orchestra is a performing group requiring students to perform in public at school concerts during the year. Students are expected to practice on their own out of school.
CHORUS - Students selecting chorus should have an interest and desire to perform vocal music in a large group as well as small ensembles. Chorus is a performing group requiring students to perform in public at school concerts during the year. Students are expected to practice on their own out of school.
Applications will be accepted until
February 24, 2012 for the 2012 - 2013 school year. A lottery will be
held if needed. All applications received after February 24 will be accepted or placed
on the waiting list in the order they are received.
Kaleidoscope Academy is connected to the Appleton Area School District and is an AASD public tuition free school.
