Appleton Area School District Coordinator Ashley Bath Honored as ‘Illuminator of the Year’
Posted on 02/04/2019
Appleton Area School District RTI coordinator Ashley Bath has been named an ‘Illuminator of the Year’ for her notable contributions to the AASD. The honor, bestowed by leading K-12 student achievement solution Illuminate Education, is awarded to a select group of educators and administrators committed to increasing the power of teaching and the delight of learning.

Bath has been recognized for her dedicated support given to staff when implementing eduCLIMBER, the district’s data management tool. She supported the early-stage installation of the software, hosting trainings for internal and external staff members who wanted to learn more about the platform. Her experience with the product has allowed her to streamline district processes resulting in more time spent working with students.

All six Illuminator of the Year 2019 honorees were recognized in at the Illuminate Education Annual User Conference (IEUC) in San Diego. This event brings together 1,600 educators for two days of comprehensive professional development, sessions and networking.

“The Illuminator of the Year program gives us the opportunity to recognize amazing educators and administrators who are accelerating the teaching and learning process for all students,” said Christine Willig, CEO of Illuminate Education. “It brings us great pleasure to honor Ashley Bath at this year’s Illuminate Education User Conference for her tireless efforts in supporting teachers and students at Appleton Area School District.”

Bath has adapted the platform to meet her district’s needs, and continuously shares how she uses the program with districts across the nation, benefitting both local teachers and educators nationwide.

“I am so humbled and grateful to receive this honor. When one works in the field of education, where so many people regularly extend themselves above and beyond the parameters of what is required, it is difficult to consider anything that one does as outstanding,” said Bath. “eduCLIMBER gave our district the opportunity to give back to our educators in time and efficiency, while helping to make better-informed decisions about students and to focus on the 'whole child.' This aligns to my professional mission. The positive impact that this platform has given to our students and school community is the greatest gift of all.”
