Business Engagement

Classroom to Career strengthens opportunities for you to connect with our students to raise their awareness and prepare them for your company's future employment needs.

The key to our success is the direct involvement of your business.
It's our intention to develop opportunities for our students to get direct involvement with our businesses and community, both in and out of the classroom.

Classroom to Career Business Opportunities

Classroom to Career is designed to connect Appleton Area School District students with career options that align with their interests, abilities, and personal goals. It works best when our students have first-hand opportunities to see and experience career options.

Students benefit when they can interact with workplace personnel both in the classroom and at the workplace to see and hear about careers of interest to them, and also to learn directly from people in these career fields.

Student experiences can vary in level of business engagement. They can benefit from people coming into the classroom or career launch studios to interact with students. More in-depth opportunities for students include workplace experiences like job shadowing, mentoring, or internships.

For every job in the Fox Valley that requires a Master’s degree, there are 4 jobs that require a Bachelor’s degree and 25 that require an Associate’s degree or Certificate.
