Early Childhood
The Appleton Area School District offers a comprehensive range of early childhood services designed to support children and families from birth through age five.
By partnering with families and providing early learning, developmental, and support services, we help ensure children are prepared for success in 4K, 5K, and beyond. These programs build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
Programs include:
- Family support services like Birth-Five Outreach that connect families with resources and services for young children
- Developmental screenings and evaluations to identify learning or developmental needs early
- Speech and language services that help children build communication skills
- Early Childhood Special Education preschool classes for children who qualify for specialized services
- Title I preschool programs for 3-year-olds that support early literacy, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness
