Mission Statement

The Appleton Area School District Mathematics Program guarantees equitable access to an attainable, standards-based curriculum. The study of mathematics integrates thinking, communicating, and applying problem-solving skills as well as understanding why mathematical processes work. AASD math teachers embrace productive struggle within a collaborative, student-centered learning environment. Furthermore, we believe that the working knowledge of mathematics is essential for our students to be college and career ready.
