Direct Admit & Wisconsin Guarantee

The State of Wisconsin and the Universities of Wisconsin recently introduced two initiatives—ACT 95 and Direct Admit Wisconsin—to expand educational opportunities for students aspiring to enroll in the Universities of Wisconsin System.

Direct Admit Wisconsin is a collaborative program between participating Wisconsin school districts and Universities of Wisconsin campuses. Through this partnership, academic information is shared with participating universities, enabling them to extend admission offers to qualifying high school juniors. Students can then decide whether to accept an offer, bypassing the traditional application process. This approach saves students both time and application fees.

Further information about this program can be found in the section titled Direct Admit Wisconsin below.

ACT 95 (The Wisconsin Guarantee) establishes guaranteed admission criteria for high-achieving students. Specifically, students ranked in the top 10% of their graduating class (from schools with at least 15 students per graduating class) are guaranteed admission to any Universities of Wisconsin campus, except for UW-Madison, which guarantees admission to students ranked in the top 5%.

Additional details regarding ACT 95 are outlined in the section titled The Wisconsin Guarantee below.

We are excited about these initiatives and the pathways they create for our students to pursue two- and four-year degrees within the Universities of Wisconsin System. Thank you for reviewing this information and for your continued partnership in supporting high-quality education that prepares our students for success beyond high school.

If you have any questions after reviewing this information, please don’t hesitate to contact your student's School Counseling Office.
