Volunteer in the AASD

The health and safety of our students, staff, families, and volunteers are a top priority. Therefore as a district, we are following recommendations to prevent the spread of this virus in our community. We will pause our volunteer tutoring programs, the United for Reading Success and Math Achievement Program, effective Monday, March 16, 2020 until further notice. We will continue to monitor and provide updates as more information becomes available.

Tutoring Programs

The concept of our tutoring programs is simple: put an adult volunteer with a child for up to five 30-minute sessions each week.

Volunteers model the joy of reading and math, while supporting the child’s efforts to read and complete math problems independently.
