Types of Volunteers

Student Volunteers – After School

High school student volunteers for the after school program help with homework either one-on-one or in small groups for the first hour and then play games and get involved in activities in the gym or outdoors for the remainder of the time.

Volunteer Tutors

Volunteers are the heart of our programs! For both the reading and math tutoring programs, we provide training and high quality, easy-to-follow materials for each daily lesson! The volunteers involved in our tutoring programs are amazing!

Volunteer tutors commit to an hour or two each week from early-October to early-May to read or work on math strategies on a one-on-one basis with students. Each session is 30-minutes each. Most of our volunteers come back year after year!
