Over the past few years, a wonderful tradition has been growing within the Appleton Area School District. Our graduating seniors from Appleton East, Appleton North, and Appleton West don their cap and gowns and make a triumphant return to their elementary schools, creating a joyous parade through the halls where their educational journey first began.

At last night's Board of Education meeting, the Board made a resolution declaring this week to be Staff Appreciation Week in the Appleton Area School District. It is the Board and the Leadership Team’s desire to recognize and show appreciation to all staff during the last full week of school.

Our schools have shortened hours during the summer months. Their schedules may vary so we encourage calling before visiting.

Beginning with the 2023-2024 calendar, our current 2-hour late-start structure for teacher training will be replaced with full-day training.

All new families should visit the AASD Welcome Center at 2701 N. Oneida St, Suite C3 Appleton, WI 54911 to enroll their student in the Appleton Area School District.

Our schools prioritize students' problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and healthy behaviors through our health and social-emotional curriculums, as well as our comprehensive school counseling program.

These committees are composed of citizens, parents, professional staff members, and students. The task of the Committees is to review the material in question and provide written recommendation(s) to the Superintendent regarding its continued use in the District.

The feedback collected will be taken into consideration by the committee to determine the final list of instructional materials that will be recommended to the AASD Board of Education.

Nominations can be generated by staff, students, or the community and are due by June 15.

The Appleton Area School District is proud to welcome our newest school board members, Jason Kolpack and Nick Ross. They will be sworn in on April 24 during the regularly scheduled Board meeting.

The Appleton Area School District bids a heartfelt farewell to the 69 employees retiring this school year. Please join us in celebrating their 1,650 years of service to our students, staff, families, and community members!

Summer School registration is right around the corner and will be conducted online for Elementary and Middle School students. High School students should contact their counselor.

We are so proud to have two students and two teachers recognized this year by the Herb Kohl Educational Foundation.

Online enrollment begins in February for students who will turn 4-years-old on or before September 1st.

When the weather is bad, the Appleton Area School District follows a process for deciding if schools will be open or closed. The district must make a decision that is the best for all students. We encourage and strongly support you in making the decision that is best for your child(ren). You are always the best judge of your child’s health and safety.
