Summer Food Service Program

Summer Food Program Header
All students 18 years and under are eligible to receive FREE meals during AASD summer school. There is no need to sign up or apply for the program. Students, their younger siblings, and their families can visit our participating sites for breakfast and lunch Monday through Friday from June 13 - July 8 (no meals will be served on July 4).

The federal regulations have changed for meals this summer.

 - Meals must be served during the contract serving time for each meal service
 - Multiple meals (breakfast + lunch) cannot be served at the same time
 - Meals must eaten on site (cannot be taken off-site)
 - Meals must be served directly to the student (adults cannot pick up meals)
 - No meal option for students not in attendance that day
 - Breakfast and Lunch will be served; No dinner or snack options
 - Serving sites must meet the area eligibility requirement

Locations & Times of Meals

Please note our serving times are strict to adhere to USDA guidelines.

Breakfast

  • Badger, Columbus, Dunlap, Edison, Foster, Highlands, Horizons, Jefferson, Johnston, and McKinley from 8:00-8:30 a.m.
  • Kaleidoscope and Wilson from 8:15-8:45 a.m.
  • East High School from 7:15-7:30 a.m.

Lunch

  • Badger, Columbus, Dunlap, Edison, Foster, Highlands, Horizons, Jefferson, Johnston, and McKinley from 11:30-12:15 p.m.
  • Kaleidoscope Academy and Wilson Middle School from 11:45-12:30 p.m.
  • East High School from 11:00-11:30 a.m.

Can adults buy meals?
Meals are available for purchase by adults (those who are 19 and older) for the following prices; exact amount preferred; cash only. Breakfast is $2.60; lunch is $4.65; an extra carton of milk is $0.30. Parents are welcome to join their students for meals, and do not have to purchase a meal to join their students.
