The Appleton Area School District requires enrollment for new students (4K - grade 12) and annual registration for current students (KG - grade 12).


What do I need for Enrollment/Registration?

The parent/guardian should be prepared to complete an online application containing demographic information, emergency contact phone numbers, name and phone number of your student’s doctor/dentist, medical information, and language information. After your student’s online application has been submitted, you may be asked to provide a birth certificate and immunization records to your student’s school.

Are you a New Family?

We are excited to welcome your family to the Appleton Area School District! When new families move into the AASD, we ask that you enroll your students as soon as possible. Prompt enrollment allows us to properly schedule buses, assign teachers, and provide any other services that might be necessary.

The New Family enrollment link above is for students in grades 4K - 12 who are new to the AASD, or who are re-entering our District after having been enrolled in another district.

Our Welcome Center is here to help! New families can visit Enrollment Services at the District’s Welcome Center for assistance completing online enrollment/registration. Enrollment is not available at our school sites.

For new students 4K-12 who are siblings of current AASD students, you can log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account, navigate to "More" and then "Online Registration" located in the left side menu. This will allow you to add a new student while completing the annual registration for your current student(s). 


Are you a Current Family?

Annual student registration is required for students grades K - 12. Registration should be completed by the primary household of current families each July via the Infinite Campus Parent Portal.

When logged into the Parent Portal, select "More" and then "Online Registration" located in the left side menu. Click "Start" next to "Existing Student Annual Registration" to begin registration.

For each section follow the on-screen prompts. Click "Next" and "Save and Continue" to move through each section. A red * indicates a required field and yellow highlights indicate missing information. When you have finished, click "Submit". You will then receive a confirmation email. Registration is not complete until "Submit" is selected.

If you enrolled an Appleton Community 4K student for the upcoming school year and you do not have other students in the AASD, your earlier enrollment completed the registration process.

Do you need to Open Enroll?
In-District Open Enrollment applies to AASD families who wish to have their student(s) attend a school other than their neighborhood school. How do I know what my neighborhood school is? The enrollment period opens in February. Families are notified in early April. 

Out-of-District Open Enrollment applies to AASD families who live outside of the AASD that wish to have their student(s) attend an AASD school. The enrollment period opens in February and goes through April. Families are notified in early June.

Is your student interested in attending an AASD Charter SchoolTo fully compare school options and make informed selections we encourage our families to engage with ALL of the schools that interest them. The Appleton Area School District has 13 charter schools that are all unique in their mission and offer various programming such as environmental education; engineering; fine arts; Montessori education - to name a few.

These schools are public and tuition-free, however, they do require a separate application. Our Charter School application window opens in early December and closes the middle of February. Learn more about the application timeline.


Online registration functions best in Google Chrome and Firefox. Please make sure to allow pop-ups. Mobile devices (tablets and smartphones) cannot be used for this process. Every parent will need a valid email address for the Infinite Campus Parent Portal account. If you do not have an existing email address, you can create one using one of the free email sites such as Google mail or Yahoo! mail.
