Special Education Programs & Student Services

AASD’s special education staff is a district-wide team of professional educators and support personnel who are dedicated to the success of all students in the Appleton Area School District.

Our special education staff is exceptionally qualified with educators who have:

  • Received the Michael J. Falconer Distinguished Service Award from The Governor’s Committee for People with Disabilities
  • Master’s degrees in: Educational Leadership, Reading, Administration, Masters of Science in Education Degree
  • Educational Specialist Degree, Director of Special Education/Pupil Services Certification
  • Over 40 years experience in the field of special education

They provide a wide range of instructional and support services, including special education and related services for students with disabilities.

The Student Services Department's mission is to graduate responsible, informed and independent students fully prepared to meet the challenges they seek after high school based on their individual strengths, abilities and interests.
