Four AASD Schools Named Wisconsin High Impact Schools

The Appleton Area School District is proud to announce that Badger Elementary, Johnston Elementary, Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary, and Stephen Foster Elementary Charter School have each been recognized as 2024–25 Wisconsin Schools of Recognition – High Impact Schools by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

Badger and Foster have the additional honor of being named two years in a row.

This distinguished honor celebrates schools that serve a high percentage of economically disadvantaged students and demonstrate above-average academic achievement when compared to similarly situated schools across the state.

These Title I schools exemplify what is possible when dedicated educators, engaged families, and resilient students come together in pursuit of equity and excellence. Their recognition reflects not only impressive student outcomes but also the powerful culture of learning, support, and opportunity cultivated within each school.

We congratulate the students, staff, and families on this well-earned recognition. Your work is an inspiration to our entire district.
