Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a 4-year reimbursement option for eligible local educational agencies (LEAs) and schools participating in both the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) that wish to offer free school meals to all children in high poverty schools without collecting household applications.
Schools Qualifying for the CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) program for 2024-2025:
Appleton Bilingual School, Badger Elementary, Columbus Elementary, Dunlap Elementary, Edison Elementary, Franklin Elementary, Foster Elementary, Highlands Elementary, Horizons Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Johnston Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Richmond Elementary, Kaleidoscope Academy, Madison Middle, Wilson Middle, and West High School.
Note for families of charter school students: CEP benefits are based on a student’s primary enrollment. If your student is primarily enrolled in a charter school, they will not be eligible for these benefits unless their charter is listed above. This also applies to students who attend multiple schools—only their primary school determines eligibility for free meals under CEP.
Benefits of CEP for our families
- Lunches and breakfast are served free to all students in participating schools
- Potential for increased meal participation, especially breakfast
We encourage ALL of our families to fill out our Free and Reduced application, as this may lead to additional funding for our schools.
