Notice of Audiovisual Recording on School Buses

The Appleton Area School District has adopted a policy authorizing audiovisual recording on school buses. School buses may be equipped with devices that record audio and/or video of the interior of the bus while students are being transported to and from school and school-sponsored activities.

Recordings are confidential and may be used only by authorized school officials and law enforcement personnel for investigations, school disciplinary actions, and criminal prosecutions related to incidents occurring in or around the bus.

The District provides this notice in accordance with Wisconsin Statute § 347.446.
