The Appleton Area School District Board of Education is committed to helping every student learn and grow based on their individual strengths and needs. They listen to the community and work to ensure our schools provide a high-quality education for all students.

The Board hires a Superintendent and staff to lead the district and carry out its goals. Together, they work to keep our schools strong, supportive, and focused on student success.

What the School Board does

  • Listens to the community and understands what students and families need
  • Creates policies that support learning and student growth
  • Monitors how the school system is doing and makes improvements when needed
  • Provides leadership to help the district meet its goals

The School Board is made up of seven community members who are elected to serve three-year terms. They represent the community, follow state laws, and serve without pay.

Board members do not make decisions on their own. Decisions are made together during official board meetings when a majority of members are present, following established meeting procedures.

The Appleton Area School District Board of Education values your involvement. Community members are encouraged to attend meetings, stay informed, and share their input to help support our schools.
