SCHOOL ATTORNEY
The Board may retain an attorney for legal counsel and services. His or her fee for general services will be set at the time of appointment, when arrangements will also be made for additional compensation for special services. The arrangement will be reviewed annually by the Board.
Upon request, an officially-appointed school attorney will attend regular meetings of the Board and other meetings of the Board or its committees, and will make his or her counsel available to the school administration and Board officers as needed.
The school attorney will be sufficiently familiar with the requirements of the school laws of the State to enable him or her to offer the necessary advice.
