Title I Parents As Teachers (PAT) Home Visitation

Parents as Teachers is a nationally recognized curriculum for home visiting, focusing on positive interactions between parent and child. Parent Connection serves first time parents. The goal of PAT is to engage parents of children birth to three in the early education of their children.

In their first few years, children learn more and at a faster pace than at any other time in life. You help shape your child's future school success through the kinds of experiences you provide.

Your baby was born to learn, and as a parent, you are your child's first and most important teacher.

Who is eligible for PAT

  • First time parents
  • Parent in target school areas who have a baby 14 months or younger, with an older sibling
  • Target school areas for the AASD include: ABS, Badger, Columbus, Dunlap, Edison, Foster, Franklin, Highlands, Horizons, Jefferson, Johnston, McKinley, and Richmond.

Parents as Teachers (PAT) is a free, voluntary parent education and family support program serving families in the Appleton Area School District who have a child 14 months old or younger. It is a home visit program that continues until your child is three years old.
