Submit an Opportunity

Thank you for your interest in sharing a social, recreational, educational, or enrichment opportunity with Appleton Area School District students and families.

Organizations wishing to have an opportunity posted on the Community Opportunities for Students webpage must provide the following via the form below:

  • A brief description of the program, event, activity, or opportunity
  • A logo or image representing the organization or event
  • A website, registration link, or contact information for families seeking additional details

Approval Guidelines

Opportunities will be considered based on the following criteria:

  • The opportunity provides a social, recreational, educational, cultural, or enrichment benefit to AASD students.
  • The program or activity serves school-age children.
  • The submission includes contact information for families.
  • If offered by a for-profit organization, the opportunity provides equitable access regardless of economic status. Organizations should offer scholarships, reduced fees, or other financial assistance to help ensure all students and families can participate.
  • The opportunity does not conflict with AASD policies, guidelines, or programs, nor compete directly with District programming.
  • The opportunity complies with Title IX and all applicable laws.
  • The opportunity is deemed appropriate for students by the Superintendent or designee.
  • Fundraising opportunities will only be considered when they directly benefit AASD students, staff, schools, or student organizations. Fundraisers unrelated to AASD will not be approved.

Direct Distribution and Building Display

Organizations may also request approval for flyer distribution or school building display. Approval is subject to District guidelines and available space. Learn more about the guidelines here.

The Appleton Area School District reserves the right to deny any submission that does not meet these guidelines. Inclusion on the Community Opportunities for Students webpage, approval for flyer distribution, or approval for building display does not constitute endorsement, sponsorship, or responsibility by the District for any organization, event, program, or activity.

The Superintendent or designee may deny requests from organizations or individuals who have previously failed to comply with District policies, procedures, school rules, or applicable laws.

What Changed?

As of August 2026, we’ve updated the way community organizations submit opportunities for AASD students and families. Flyers and promotional graphics can no longer be uploaded with submissions. Instead, organizations will provide the opportunity details directly through our online submission form below.

This change helps us share information in a more accessible, consistent, and family-friendly format. You may still upload your organization’s logo, which is considered a decorative element and does not contain essential information.

Please enter all important event and program details in the form rather than including them in an image or flyer. Thank you for helping us make community opportunities easier for all AASD students and families to access.
