Programming on No-School Days for the 2026-27 School Year

When there isn't school in the AASD due to Staff Professional Development, or during our winter and spring breaks, our Extended Day Learning Program partners can help.

Boys & Girls Club

Registration opens on July 20, 2026.

When the AASD has off due to staff development days, or breaks (winter/spring), we offer full days of program located at our Appleton Boys & Girls Club, 160 S Badger Avenue, from 8:00 – 5:30 pm. Parents must register for the program and be current before or after school families. 

There is no additional cost for families to take advantage of the no-school-day programming. A breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided on these days. More information on dates this is offered can be viewed in the Caregiver Portal under the Program tab during registration.

The Boys & Girls Club is closed for staff development on the first Friday of each month from September to May.

YMCA of the Fox Cities

The YMCA offers a Full Day Off Program at Sandy Slope Elementary on no school days in the AASD. The program runs from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Parents must register for the program and be current before or after-school participants.

The daily cost per child is $48 for members and $62 for non-members. Families will be asked to provide a cold lunch, but the program will provide a morning and afternoon snack.

On the dates with an (*), the program will be offered at the Appleton YMCA, and we have a max capacity of 25 students.

The YMCA will NOT offer the Full Day Off Program on September 29, 2026, or February 16, 2027, due to YMCA Staff Development Days.
