AASD’s Annual Obstacle Course Challenge
Event Details
- Date: Saturday, October 3, 2026,
- Time: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Come anytime during event hours—participants can complete the course at their own pace. - Location: Highlands Elementary School, 2037 N. Elinor St., Appleton.
Who Can Participate
- Open to children ages 5–13
Registration & Cost
- $20 per participant (through September 25, 2026)
- $25 per participant after September 25
- Family members may join their child on the course for free by signing a waiver on event day
(Note: Family participants will not receive an event t-shirt or bracelet.)
What to Expect
- Approximately 1.55-mile course
- 30 obstacles designed to challenge agility, strength, and endurance
- All registered participants receive:
- Event t-shirt
- Tough Kid bracelet
Street parking is available around Highlands Elementary School. Be cautious when driving in the area due to the large traffic expected and the number of pedestrians crossing the streets.

The 2025 Tough Kid Challenge was a resounding success! This thrilling event brought together 1,450 youth in our community for an unforgettable day of perseverance and fun. Participants navigated a series of creative obstacles that tested their strength, endurance, and problem-solving skills, all while cheering each other on in a spirit of camaraderie.
