How to Register for In-Person Playgroups
Registration opens Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.
Tuesdays – Play with Purpose
September–December (12-week session)
To get the most out of this group, we encourage families to attend all 12 sessions.
Thursdays – Learning Through Play
September only (monthly registration required)
Registration for both groups follows the same AASD priority registration timeline:
- First 2 weeks: Families living within the Appleton Area School District (AASD) receive priority registration.
- After 2 weeks: Registration opens to families living outside the AASD.
Participation Update:
To allow more families the opportunity to participate, we ask that you register for either Tuesday OR Thursday playgroups. You may request to join the waitlist for the other day and could attend both if space becomes available.
*Please read through the descriptions of both groups to consider which is a better fit for you and your child.
Playgroup Descriptions
Play with Purpose (Tuesdays):
A 12-week session focused on learning more about your child’s development and the many ways you can engage with them in learning and exploring together. Each session begins with a brief and informative discussion for parents and caregivers about the developmental topic, while children enjoy a teacher-led activity. Afterwards, you and your child will explore activities together connected to that developmental topic. This group aims to build confidence, develop new skills, and strengthen caregiver-child relationships. To get the most out of the playgroup, we encourage families to attend all 12 dates.
Learning Through Play (Thursdays):
Caregivers and children will participate in stories, songs, art, games, and more as we learn together through play. Each session offers teacher-led group activities with opportunities for free play. This group embraces the belief that play is an essential part of childhood and the natural way that children learn. Monthly registration required.
September only - playgroups will be held at Pierce Park

Register by calling (920) 832-6470 #1. The following information is needed for registration: parent/caregiver name, child’s name/birthdate, phone number, address & email address.
*All registrations are time-stamped, and our secretary will contact you within three business days to update you on your registration status.
