We believe in empowering our educators from day one. Our structured, collaborative, and non-evaluative mentoring system supports new teachers, fostering their professional growth and aligning with AASD’s vision for continuous development. This ensures our students receive the best education possible. 

Our comprehensive two-year induction program is designed to welcome and support new educators. It includes:

  • Ongoing Orientation: Regular training sessions to help new staff integrate seamlessly into our district.
  • Support Seminars: Professional development seminars aligned with Wisconsin educator standards.
  • New Educator Mentoring: A mentor to provide ongoing instruction and support to educators.

OPPORTUNITIES: Growing Together

Staff Development AASD is committed to the continuous growth of our teachers through a variety of development programs, including:

  • Year-Round Training: Diverse training sessions available throughout the year.
  • Cultural and Linguistic Response Training: Enhancing educators' abilities to meet the needs of all students.
  • Master’s Degree Program: In partnership with UW-Oshkosh, we offer a Master's in Teaching and Learning at a fraction of the traditional cost. This program is tailored to develop instructional expertise within an AASD Cohort.
