District

The Appleton Area School District, nestled in the heart of the Fox Cities, stands as the sixth largest school district in Wisconsin, catering to over 15,000 students across its varied institutions, including fifteen elementary schools, four middle schools, three high schools, fifteen Charter schools, and magnet school.

Since the early 1850s, the AASD has been committed to delivering exceptional education while consistently improving its methods to meet the ever-evolving educational needs of its students. The district's focus is to help all students acquire the essential skills and knowledge they need to excel in their chosen career paths.

A district the size of Appleton relies on many attributes to maintain and to improve the quality of its educational programs. A supportive community, successful business partnerships, a highly qualified staff, and a dedicated Board of Education all play an essential role in educating today’s students and tomorrow’s citizens and leaders. It is through the collaborative efforts of the community that we continue to grow as an organization and meet the needs of our students.
