UNOFFICIAL ELECTION NIGHT RESULTS

NOTICE OF SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION - Tuesday, April 4, 2023

On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, an election will be held in the Appleton Area School District for the office of School Board Member. Three (3) candidates will be elected to succeed the current incumbents when their terms of office expire on Sunday, April 23, 2023.

Following the Ballot-Eligibility Deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, five (5) candidates, having submitted the required ballot access documents, qualified to appear on the ballot. A drawing of lots to determine ballot order for the election was held on Monday, January 9, 2023, during the regular Board of Education Meeting. 

The following candidates will appear on the ballot for the AASD School Board Election (listed in ballot order):

1. Kristine Sauter (incumbent)
2. Deb Truyman (incumbent)
3. Nick Ross
4. Jason Kolpack
5. Sam Blackwell

All ballot access forms are due by 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2023. You may utilize the ballot access documents below to qualify for the April 2023 election. Candidate packets are also available at the Scullen Leadership Center, 131 E. Washington Street, Suite 1A, Appleton.

ELECTION DATES & DEADLINES

Dec. 1, 2022	First Day that Nomination Papers May be Circulated for Signatures. Not less than 100, nor more than 200 are required. It is strongly recommended that a Campaign Registration Statement (Form CF-1) be on file with the District prior to circulating Nomination Papers.
Jan. 3, 2023	Deadline for Filing Ballot Access Documents Declaration of Candidacy, Campaign Registration Statement, and Nomination Papers must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m.
Feb. 21, 2023	Spring Primary Election (if necessary)
April 4, 2023	Spring Election
